Chris Liang

Chris joined Chambers after serving pupillage with Mr. Philip Dykes SC, Mr. Vincent Chen, Mr. Jeffrey Tam, Mr. Steven Kwan and Mr. Joe Chan.
Chris is developing a broad civil and criminal practice.
For civil cases, he has received instruction on a wide range of cases including but not limited to judicial review, probate, company and commercial, construction, land, personal injury, bankruptcy and general civil.
For criminal practice, he participates in the Duty Lawyer Service Scheme and appears as an advocate (either in his own right or as a led junior) in Magistracies, District Court, and Court of First Instance. He accepts instructions in all areas of work.

Adrian So
Adrian has developed a broad criminal and civil practice and has experience in matters spanning a wide spectrum of practice areas. He has appeared both in his own right and as a led junior in the Court of Final Appeal, the Court of First Instance, the District Court and the Magistrates’ Courts. He also acted as counsel-on-fiat for the prosecution in the Magistrates’ Courts and is currently on the Legal Aid Panel for criminal matters.
Adrian has experience in a wide range of criminal cases, both at trial and appellate level, such as money laundering, corruption, dishonesty offences, sexual offences, assault offences, road traffic offences, drug-related offences and immigration offences. On the civil side, Adrian has accumulated experience in matters such as personal injuries, contractual, probate, company, land, commercial matters, administrative appeal, and other general civil disputes.

Roy Chui
Called to the Bar in 2018, Roy specialises in chancery practice, focusing on commercial disputes, trusts, and company matters, alongside interests in competition and securities law. His practice spans trial advocacy, appellate work, and advisory.
Advocacy is a key focus in Roy’s practice. Roy simplifies complex legal arguments into clear, compelling presentations. His strong witness handling skills have been demonstrated through conducting High Court trials involving multi-day cross-examinations on his own right.
Roy accepts urgent instructions and is capable of delivering efficient support and preparing documents under tight deadlines.
Outside the law, Roy is an amateur triathlete and trail runner, currently training for a sub-5 hours half Ironman.

Kevin Woo
Kevin has a practice spanning criminal defence, data privacy, and legal technology. He provides representation in criminal proceedings and advises private and corporate clients across industries on regulatory compliance, technology risk, and data protection law.
Kevin is accredited as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, primarily focusing on personal data handling, cross-border data transfer, and digital governance.
Alongside his legal practice, Kevin is the Programme Leader for the Graduate Diploma in English and Hong Kong Law (Common Professional Examination), the LLB (Hons) Hong Kong, and the LLM programmes jointly offered by HKU SPACE and Manchester Metropolitan University.

Teresa Yu
Teresa joined Garden Chambers after reading law and serving pupillage with Mr Derek Chan S.C., Mr Charles J. Chan., Mr Stanley Siu, Ms Queenie Ng, and Mr Felix Li. In developing a broad mixed practice, Teresa has a particular focus on commercial disputes and land and trust related matters, as well as family law disputes. Teresa has advised and advocated for clients in a wide variety of civil and criminal matters and has, both as a sole advocate and a led junior, appeared in all levels of Court in her own right. In all cases, she is committed to resolving the disputes amicably wherever possible, and, where necessary, fight for respective clients in their best interests in mind.
Outside court, Teresa also accepts urgent engagement for legal visits and/or advice and saves no effort in contributing her time to the legal industry by accepting appointments from different institutions and organising events for budding and young legal talents and undertaking pro-bono legal services via multiple schemes.
Teresa’s diligent, accurate and eloquent advisory and advocacy are widely recognised in both Chinese and English matters.
