Welcome to Garden Chambers (嘉衡大律師事務所).
Our Chambers was set up in Central in the early 1980s. Its successive Heads of Chambers include Mr. Gordon Hampton, Mr. Barry Sceats, Mr. James Collins and Mr. William Marshall Q.C., S.C., prior to his appointment to a Court of Appeal elsewhere.
In 1998, our Chambers formally became known as Garden Chambers from its premises on Garden Road at the new Bank of China Building. Our current address is at 15th and 12th (annex) Floors, Printing House, 6 Duddell Street from 2012, since when the Head of Chambers has been Mr. Hanif Mughal.
Garden Chambers is rooted in a steadfast commitment to excellence, and our guiding principles of Professionalism, Dedication, and Humility inspire us to continually elevate the standards of our legal services and contributing positively to Hong Kong society. Our Chambers presently houses over 30 members, who variously practise in civil and in criminal law, including dealing with a wide range of advisory matters, trial and appellate work. A number of members also deal with arbitration work and mediation. Some members have held judicial positions in Hong Kong. Various members of Chambers also hold academic teaching positions in universities in Hong Kong.
In addition, many of our members actively engage in pro bono initiatives and some also serve as legal advisors, members or chairman of various public bodies, charitable organisations and statutory boards or committees.
Our vision is to continue advancing legal services with integrity and excellence.
